49ers Don't Trust LB Scott McKillop As Takeo Spikes' Backup?

The 49ers are in the market for an inside linebacker and recently hosted Dolphins free-agent Akin Ayodele, and they are doing a lot of homework on inside linebackers in the draft. The 49ers are looking at Ayodele as a back up for Takeo Spikes, 33, at "Ted" linebacker, and they are presumably looking at rookies for the same role. Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee writes the reason the 49ers are looking at other options at inside linebacker is that the coaching staff has doubts about Scott McKillop and doesn't trust him as Spikes' primary backup.

2-3 weeks ago the sac-bee said that scott mckillop was going to push to start and now they are reporting the complete opposite.
