| Browns Confident RB Jerome Harrison Can Be An Every-Down Back | | | Browns coach Eric Mangini said in an interview with CBSSports.com at the NFL owner's meeting in Orlando, FL that he's confident RB Jerome Harrison can be an every-down back in 2010. Harrison came on for the injured Jamal Lewis in 2009 and finished the season with 194 carries for 862 yards and five touchdowns and 34 catches for 220 yards and two touchdowns and Mangini is looking for Harrison to build on that. "I'm looking for him to continue what he did last season," Mangini said. "He made progress as a complete player. We want to see that trend continue." But Mangini also said they don't want to overwork Harrison and run him into the ground. "He handled the load well, but you don't want the guy to carry the load all the time," he said. "It's not easy to stay healthy for a full season." Source: CBS Sports | | |
