Redskins Albert Haynesworth Likely To Move To Defensive End

Gary Fitzgerald of Redskins.com writes that if the Redskins switch to a 3-4, then Albert Haynesworth would likely fit in best at defensive end where he can make an impact rushing the passer. The 6-5, 350-pounder has played in a 4-3 his entire NFL career, emerging as one of the league’s premiere defensive tackles. Haynesworth played in 12 games and posted 56 tackles, four sacks and one fumble recovery in his first year in Washington, and while his stats suggest it was a down year, his presence helped pass rushers Andre Carter and Brian Orakpo combine for 22 sacks.

Good move for them. Haynesworth could probobly play and excell at NT (my only concern is 6'6 is really tall for a NT) but it would be a waste of his skill. Wouldnt be much different than what he was complaining about before

Personally I would play him on the oppisite side, unless for whatever reason Orakpo is on the Strong Side.

The other Edge rusher whoever that winds up being in gonna need alot of help. And if they wind up drafting someone, playing next to Haynesworth would make a transition easier
