On March 9th, the Redskins signed free agent Maake Kemoeatu to give the defense more of a classic nose tackle. Kemoeatu, 6-5 and 345 pounds, has played in 107 games with 61 starts in an eight-year career with Baltimore (2002-05) and Carolina (2006-09). Gary Fitzgerald of Redskins.com writes that it appears Kemoeatu has a good chance to become the starter at nose tackle.

Not that he cant play it, because he can, but they gotta do whatever they can to keep Haynesworth off that spot. Be a waste of skill IMO.

He can free guys up at NT, but he could free guys up and be devastaing himself at DE

I was very surprised someone signed Maake. He can not even run yet and is still rehabbing from the achilles' injury. Loved him as a Raven though. Just think his best days are behind him.
