Eagles Have A No Trade Clause In RB Mike Bell's Deal

The Philadelphia Eagles have added a no trade clause to free agent running back Mike Bell's contract offer. The Eagles are hoping the Saints wouldn't be tempted to match and then try to get something for Bell. Last year with the Saints, Bell led the team in carries with 172 for 3.8 yards per carry and scored 5 touchdowns.

Can they just add that after it has been submitted? Weird...

I think it was in the original deal, but the news of that clause is just coming out now.

That would be strange if they were able to add it after the fact...the way the article reads makes it sound like they threw it in after the fact.

"Oh by the way...here's a non-trade clause too."
