Giants Sign Former Australian P Jy Bond

Mike Garafolo of The Newark Star-Ledger reports via twitter that the New York Giants have signed free agent punter Jy Bond. Bond was a former Australian rules football player. Bond worked out for the Giants on Thursday.

Interesting.

You think the name Sav is cooler than Jy, phigs? Gayer maybe. I'd be with you if you used last names, but you didn't.

I guess a bonus of having one of these guys as a kicker is they probably won't be pussy tacklers like most kickers.

Jy isn't even a name. It's two letters. Sav sounds like a guy I'd like to have a beer with. Jy sounds like someone I want to tutor my kid in physics.
