Jets CB Antonio Cromartie Pays His Child-Support Debt

Former Chargers cornerback Antonio Cromartie has paid past-due child-support obligations and no longer will have to appear in a San Diego court next week to answer questions about his financial situation. Cromartie, 25, has seven children by six women in five states and had been past due on his support of them by around $25,000 to $50,000, attorney Steven Bishop said. Cromartie’s financial situation improved after he was traded two weeks ago to the New York Jets, who reportedly advanced him $500,000 to help him meet his obligations.
