Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell Absent From OTA's For Personal Reasons

Raiders director of squad development Willie Brown has stated that JaMarcus Russell was absent from the team's voluntary offseason workouts yesterday due to personal reasons and should be back with the team today and in better shape that last season, according to the Contra Costa Times. Does "being lazy and not caring about your improvement" count as a personal reason? To Russell's credit, Brown said that Russell had to be in Alabama to "close a home", though we still won't believe that Russell is a changed man until he gives us a reason to believe so.
