New 49ers quarterback David Carr said on Monday that he didn't need an apology from new teammate Patrick Willis, who was critical of Carr when the team recruited him as a free agent. Willis, a linebacker who's been to the Pro Bowl in each of his three seasons, said on Twitter earlier this month that the 49ers were not spending their time wisely pursuing Carr: "We have three QB's that are better then him. That's a waste of his time." Carr said he has spoken to Willis. "I told him he doesn't have to apologize," Carr said. "It's my job to change your opinion of me."
