Seahawks Re-Sign DE Darryl Tapp

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports via twitter that the Seattle Seahawks have re-signed restricted free agent defensive end Darryl Tapp to his qualifying offer. The Seahawks placed the original tender on Tapp and will make $1.176 Million in 2010. He recorded 49 tackles and 2.5 sacks last season.

Great move. Really a no brainer. Not his best season last year statistically but I think he has some upside and is a good pass rusher.

his original tender is a 2nd rounder for anyone who is interested.

He's inconsistent against the pass (flashes brilliance) but he has aways been a good run defender. You have to keep guys like that, who play for minimum salary, around.
