Jets Unlikely To Overpay For Free Agent RB LaDainian Tomlinson

The Jets' hard recruiting sell to free agent running back LaDainian Tomlinson ended yesterday, and now the waiting game for Tomlinson's decision begins. He met with Rex Ryan, offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, a former coach of his in San Diego, and general manager Mike Tannenbaum on Friday and went out to dinner with them Friday night. It's believed the Jets do not want to offer him more than the two-year, $5 Million deal Thomas Jones got from the Chiefs.

I would be careful about overpaying for LT as well. When you need him in big games, he usually gets an injury to the point where he can't play.
