Despite Tim Tebow's rock-star status in his hometown of Jacksonville, some Jaguars fans are coming to the realization that drafting the local hero to resurrect the slumbering fan base is not the answer. The Jaguars conducted the first fan phone forum between season-ticket holders and GM Gene Smith earlier this week and during the conference call fifty-five percent of the 800 participants voted against the idea of the team drafting Tebow in a poll. Smith ruled out drafting a quarterback in the first round but did not close the door on using a later pick on a signalcaller. "I would always look for a quarterback we could develop," Smith said, "but I'm not going to force it. Is it a position we'll look at in the draft? Yes, it is."
