ESPN injury analyst Stephania Bell doesn't believe New England Patriots receiver Wes Welker's return will be delayed because of recent rotator cuff surgery. "The good news in all of this is that Wes Welker should be far enough along after knee surgery that his injured shoulder shouldn't affect him, meaning that he's off crutches by now," Bell told ESPNBoston.com. "So the torn rotator cuff won't impact his rehab at all. In fact, he can use the time while he's rehabbing his knee to rehab the shoulder as well." Bell's initial armchair diagnosis for Welker pegged a realistic return to the practice field by September and back to his old self by October if his recovery went well.
