Ben Roethlisberger's Lawyer Hires A Private Investigator In Assault Case
Filed Under: , , , ,
Posted By: BigBlueBruiser 03-12-2010 , 09:58 PM

An attorney for Ben Roethlisberger has hired a private investigator to look into a 20-year-old Georgia college student's sexual-assault allegation against the Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback. Police in the college town of Milledgeville continue to investigate, but they have released little information since the accusation was made last week. Roethlisberger's lawyer, Ed Garland, said he has hired his own investigative team. "Any lawyer representing anyone needs to know all the facts so that he can perform his duties," Garland said.

Not really....it just means he'd rather pay to shut her up instead of having all the sordid details plastered all over the press. It's not always an admission of guilt. Sometimes it's just a matter of how much is your name not being dragged through the mud publicly worth to you?

I think you can only settle out of court for a civil case but in this care its criminal and in criminal you don't settle you take a plea bargain or go through the whole process waiting to see what the jury thinks

He's already been all but tarred and feathered by most people. Really, how will that change his rep? I'm waiting for the facts. If he's found guilty, he's a full fledged card carrying member of the Douchbag guild. If he's not, he's just guilty of piss poor judgment and being a huge dork.
