| Redskins DE Andre Carter Open For A Trade? | | | NFL.com's Jason La Canfora, reported Thursday night Redskins defensive end Andre Carter would be open to being traded. Carter has a no-trade clause for the length of his contract and as of this week, the Redskins had not approached Carter about waiving it in an attempt to facilitate a trade, people familiar with the situation said. But Carter also is due a $3.2 million option bonus in July, another of $4.075 million before the 2011 season, according to league sources who have reviewed his contract, and including his base salary of $1.3 million in the 2010 season, that's a lot of money for someone who might not fit in well into the Redskins' new 3-4 defensive scheme.
