Lions Offer Ex-Army S Caleb Campbell A Contract

Former Army safety Caleb Campbell said he's been offered a contract by the Detroit Lions, the team who drafted him in the seventh round in 2008. Now, it's up to Department of Defense if Campbell, a 2008 West Point graduate, will be allowed to sign the contract and attend rookie mini-camp after the April draft. Campbell, who worked out for the Lions Tuesday morning at outside linebacker, is in the process of preparing the paperwork to request a two-month early release from his active duty. "I ran really, really well," Campbell said. "I ran a 4.49, 4.50 in 40-yard dash and in drills with the linebacker coach and the special teams coach."

Let the guy play Football, that's the least they can do. While we're on the subject of the Military..
Obama should END these unconstitutional Wars and bring our Men & Women home. We haven't gained anything from Iraq/Afghanistan but Mass ammount of Deaths and another Depression. We won't be able to survive another year of a War based Economy. END THE WARS!
