Free Agent LB Larry Foote Says The Cardinals Are His First Choice

Free agent linebacker Larry Foote spoke to reporters in Arizona today and said the Cardinals are his first choice, according to the Arizona Republic. Foote visited with the Redskins earlier this week but did not sign a contract. He arrived in Arizona yesterday, and both he and linebacker Joey Porter are meeting with the Cardinals today. "I'm begging. I want to get back to a winner," Foote said. "I feel more comfortable with a 3-4 [defense]. Pittsburgh wants me back, but I want to be a Cardinal and hopefully we can get it done. First of of all, they're winning. I know Cardinals Coach Ken Whisenhunt. I know his pedigree, what type of coach he is, the talent they have here. They have a good chance of going back to the Super Bowl."
