Former Carolina Panthers Pro Bowl quarterback Jake Delhomme will visit the Browns on Thursday, a league source told The Plain Dealer today. Delhomme, who was cut by the Panthers last week, went 58-40 for them as a starter in seven seasons, including taking them to the Super Bowl after the 2003 season. In Cleveland, Delhomme would most likely come in to challenge for the starting job.

Why would they sign Jake? He's a prone to throwing Interceptions as well!

Why would the browns do that? they just got Wallace from the Seahawks and now they are looking at Delhomme?

They have have so many other wholes and they are focusing on the QBs only they might want to look at every other part of the team except for KR Cribbs

Jimmy Clausen. bum bum, bum bum bum. Jimmy Clausen. bum bum, bum bum bum.

Two ex-Irish fighting for the job.

Seriously though, they could sign Delhomme, but they really need to get a QB of the future via draft.

No they aren't. They are just a team transitioning to new management and a new style of offense. I would HOPE for their fans that the team shakes all trees available looking for the best players to fit the new offensive scheme.

Clearing the current QB roster and creating a new one.
Starter: Wallace
Back-Up: Vet Free Agent
Third String: Mid-Low round drafted QB (Lefeavor?)

You're not putting a lot of money into this situation, and maybe Holmgreen is looking to find another Hasselbeck type guy. Or who knows, maybe Wallace is his next Hasselbeck. Use your other picks to fill places that really need to be filled. You need WRs, and you need to build the back 7 of your defense.

holmgren isn't going to turn around the team over night but if they are going to change their style of offense around he knows the type of QB he wants. i honestly don't think Delhomme is the guy, but we'll see...
