Free Agent RB LaDainian Tomlinson Likely To Sign With The Vikings?

Longtime San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson is expected to visit with the Vikings on Thursday, according to a person with knowledge of the situation, and if an agreement on playing time and money can be reached, he could be a Viking shortly thereafter. Tomlinson, who will turn 31 on June 23, has been identified as the Vikings' top choice to take over the third-down role that Chester Taylor held until he signed with the Chicago Bears last week. Tomlinson was let go by the Chargers after nine seasons late last month and this will be his first known visit.

This would be an interesting back field duo for the Vikings should LT sign with them.

That's a hell of a 1-2 punch.

The possibility is still there. LT with a reduced workload, fresh start, and a chip on his shoulder is kind of scary.

I would have thought he would go somewhere that would give him a chance to be the starter or at least see half of the carries

AP's fumble-itus coupled with an LT resurgence just might make Minny the place to be especially late in games. Could be a Helluva show...

Without a doubt, you won't know it until after training camp though.

If LT thinks he's one Peterson fumble away from starting, could be some great motivation.
