Eagles Re-Sign WR Jason Avant To A Five-Year Deal

The Eagles and restricted free agent wide receiver Jason Avant agree to terms on a five-year contract, the team announced today. Avant had a career-best season in 2009, catching 41 passes for 587 yards and 3 touchdowns. Avant, a restricted free agent tendered last week, is now part of the long-term picture as the Eagles have their healthiest situation at wide receiver in many, many years.

definitely...lol...

He's one of those players who is good where he is. Put him on another team and he'll vanish further into obscurity.

I disagree entirely ward. Where he is is a team that doesn't use the slot receiver all that much with a QB who tends to only be able to go through 3 progressions at most. If he was on a true west coast offense where the ball was really spread around consistently he could do some damage.
