Eagles Inform QB Michael Vick They Will Pick Up His Roster Bonus

The Eagles have informed Michael Vick's agent they will be picking up his 2010 roster bonus this week, according to a league source. Vick is due a $1.5M roster bonus by Wednesday, and the Eagles, as expected, will execute that transaction with the league office this week and have already informed Joel Segal, Vick's agent, of their intent. Should a team offer value for Vick at some point - a pick in at least the second round - perhaps a deal could materialize but a team source has continued to maintain that the Eagles have every expectation of Donovan McNabb, Kevin Kolb and Vick all being in training camp.

Look, Kolb's their QB of the future. He's not going anywhere. They can either a) trade vick for a pick b) trade mcnabb and get the future started with kolb c) trade mcnabb and let vick take the reins. they are ordered in terms of likelihood, from most to least. vick just seems like the odd man out. why on earth did they sign him anyway? too crowded in philly.

Plus more teams will be willing to make the move since they won't be on the hook for the roster bonus. It could actually get more interest in Vick.

exactly and considering the eagles arent going to spend much money at all in free agency in an uncapped year it makes sense. i still think both he and mcnabb are gone and the team will use the extra picks to retool the defense mainly.
