Ravens Re-Signing WR Derrick Mason No Longer A Priority

The addition of Anquan Boldin doesn't eliminate the chances of Derrick Mason returning, but the Ravens no longer view the free-agent wide receiver as one of their priorities, a league source said. Mason, 36, certainly lost his leverage by not agreeing to a two-year deal with the Ravens before free agency began. Because Boldin and Mason play similar styles, it's not considered a necessity to bring back Mason but there is a chance that the Ravens could wait until after the draft in April to re-sign Mason.

NO!!! I was just thinking today about how re-signing Mason has to be a priority. AND IT FREAKING DOES. Just think about it: Boldin, Mason, Stallworth, Clayton. Or Boldin, Mason, Stallworth, draft pick, Clayton. EPIC. But without Mason the Boldin trade isn't that super. Because we were looking for a No. 1 to pair with Mason. Mason is proven and let Ozzie and us not forget what he has done and meant to this franchise the past 5 years. He still plays at a high level and I don't freaking care if he's the same type of receiver as Boldin, I'M NOT TRUSTING STALLWORTH AS OUR NUMBER 2!

That is all.
