Matt Maiocco of The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports via twitter that the 49ers are talking a two-year deal with free agent quarterback David Carr. Carr averaged $1.8 Million during his two seasons as Eli Manning's backup with the Giants. Should he end up in San Francisco, the 49ers would have another former No. 1 overall pick at quarterback to go along with Alex Smith.
