Updating a previous report, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh expects free safety Ed Reed (neck) to play next season, according to Aaron Wilson on Twitter. Reed expressed doubt about returning for another season due to the worsening nerve impingement in his neck, but it sounds like his coach is confident in his comeback. "Ed Reed is playing, as far as I know," said Harbaugh.

This is encouraging, but if Mason or Reed does retire, it'll show just how much Harbaugh knows/is in contact with his players. We might be being a little too confident that they will both return.
