| Chargers Place Second Round Tender On DT Travis Johnson | | | The Chargers have decided to tender defensive tackle Travis Johnson, who finished the season extremely well, at the original-round level. That means Johnson will make $1.22 million if he makes the team. Even though Johnson was a first-round pick in 2005, the Chargers would be entitled to at least a second-round pick if another team signs Johnson due to language in the collective bargaining agreement that says if they tender another player at the first-round level, which they are almost certain to do, they would be entitled to just a second-rounder for Johnson.
