Vikings Interested In Ex-Eagles RB Brian Westbrook?

The Eagles have announced their intention to jettison running back Brian Westbrook after eight seasons. Westbrook's obvious tie to the Vikings would be coach Brad Childress, who was with the Eagles from 1999 to 2005 and became the offensive coordinator in Philadelphia the same year that Westbrook joined the team as a third-round pick out of Division I-AA Villanova in 2002. Westbrook certainly is familiar with the West Coast offense the Vikings run, there are differences between what the Vikings and Eagles do, in his prime he was a very good receiver out of the backfield and Judd Zulgad of The Star Tribune says the Vikings might be an interesting fit for Westbrook, who would be asked to play on third down behind Adrian Peterson.

Would make sense since players that get released don't count towards the Final 8 rule. We could get Westbrook, let Taylor walk, and sign a decent free agent in another area of need.

Its funny cause Chester Taylor would also fit in the mold of what the eagles would need, almost like a trade in RB I will say it will be insane to have A.P and B-West in the backfield
