According to Aaron Wilson on Twitter, Ravens tight end Quinn Sypniewski underwent a minor followup surgery on his injured left knee. Sypniewski has now had three surgeries since originally injuring the knee in 2008 training camp. He'll struggle just to get a shot in next season's training camp.
I didn't even realize Quinn was still with the team. He was a solid replacement for Heap in '07, but he can't stay healthy, and we need a better upgrade.
Ozzie needs to find the diamond in the rough TE in the draft. Todd Heap is way on the way down and L.J. Smith can not find the field with his continuous injuries. Need fresh meat in this department.
Colin Peek, Dennis Pitta, and Ed Dickson are all guys the Ravens should look at around the 3rd or 4th round that can be good #2's and the heir apparent to Heap. I've always liked Syp, i hope he can get back, he was a great blocker and underrated pass catcher, if he came back as the 3rd TE i'd be ecstatic.
