| Dolphins To Release LB Joey Porter By March 5th? | | |
The Monday after the Super Bowl is the first day NFL teams are able to release players after the season. An NFL source said Sunday the Dolphins will release linebacker Porter as early as Monday but certainly before the new league year begins March 5. They aren't going to keep Porter on the roster if they've already determined they cannot trade him and will not pay him the $1 million roster bonus he is due the first week of March.
