Saints [Saints] Saints QB Mark Brunell Hasn't Thought About Retirement

Seven months from his 40th birthday, Saints backup quarterback Mark Brunell is a free agent and uncertain about his football future. He doesn't want to think about leaving the game. He just wants to enjoy a dream, which began in 1980 as a guard for the Pop Warner Santa Maria (Ca.) Bears, becoming reality. "It was just great, we've been waiting a long time for this," said Brunell. "To be on a championship team this late in my career. You get 17 years [in the NFL] and you just wonder if you're ever going to be a part of something like this."
