Patriots Owner Declines To Comment On A New Deal For QB Tom Brady

Patriots owner Robert Kraft attended yesterday’s State of the NFL meeting led by commissioner Roger Goodell, spending time reminiscing that eight years ago the Patriots were celebrating a Super Bowl. Asked if the Pats are poised to return to that elite level, Kraft said, “I hope so. That’s the plan.” When told that Colts owner Jim Irsay said Manning would be the NFL’s highest paid player, Kraft wouldn’t discuss a potential deal for quarterback Tom Brady. “I’m not going there,” Kraft said. “There’s a time and place for that.” . . .

Kraft is a smart owner and Brady isn't playing as well as he was when he signed that last deal...

Brady has 1 year left on his contract, and has always had no desire to be the highest paid QB. Really, what the fuck does he need more money for. Between him and his wife, they could cover a good portion of our National Debt. I like Tom, "we're overpaid, I love the team, Love Boston, and want to stay here". Like that's setting a hardcore position at the negotating table.
