Patriots Will Not Replace Pees At Defensive Coordinator

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick is not planning to name a defensive coordinator in 2010 and instead will be more involved on defense and share the workload with his assistants. Belichick says "Titles are fine, nothing wrong with them, but the most important thing is each person's role, that we do everything we can to help the players succeed -- everyone collectively getting the job done." The Patriots and Dean Pees, who served as defensive coordinator the last four seasons, parted ways in January.

Just stupid. The biggest issue with Belichick is he's trying to coach the whole team by himself. Showed last year. As a head coach you need to free up your time to game plan, and be involved in a supervisory role in all aspects of the game. I think Belichick's ego is way out of control, and reaching the point it is counter productive to his coaching ability. The man is a great coach, but I'm starting to think he's a couple of years away from a padded room, wearing a helmet, and sleeves that wrap all the way around his body.
