Giants DE Osi Umenyiora To Quit If Not Named A Starter?

Defensive End Osi Umenyiora wants to continue his career with the Giants, but if he doesn't get his starting job back he's going to just quit. "I'm not going to be a back up player, I can promise you that, I'll stop playing football before I do that ever again, this has been just the worst offseason of my entire life. I can't even think of a time when things were this bad during the offseason, you're supposed to be relaxing, but I can't relax because all I can think of is the things that took place last season, you understand, so for me it's not something that I'm going to do and if I'm asked to come back there and do that then I'll just stop playing football." Umenyiora said.

I remember everyone said i was being a homer when i said osi was overrated his last great season almost 50% of his sack came in one game on a guy that was playing a position he wasent used to and he was a rookie.

HAHA.
Al Davis should trade Tommy Kelly in exchange for Osi! That would be one hell of a Off-Season if you ask me.

i'll quit if i'm not starting? um, if he's a true competitor, shouldn't he be thinking of ways to get back ON the field (improving his skills, building relationships with his new coaches, etc.) instead of threatening to quit?

Yeah I totally agree with you on that.... I hate how players these days actually complain and bitch like crazy. What happened to the good old days that you would let your actions do the talking.

And he is becoming the T.O of the Defensive line
