Eagles WR DeSean Jackson "Shooting For The Top" In A New Deal

While agent Drew Rosenhaus was not interested in talking about Eagles Pro Bowl wide receiver DeSean Jackson's contract status, Jackson conceded that he is looking for a new deal. Asked today during an interview on 97.5 The Fanatic if he would have a new contract for next season, Jackson said, "Hopefully, it would be nice." As to whether he would command big money, Jackson replied, "I'm shooting for the top. I let Drew be the aggressive one and I just sit back and handle what I need to do," Jackson said. "That's all I can do."

I don't see him as a #1 WR so I wouldn't pay him #1 money. But it depends on what the Eagles see. And they are pretty stupid sometimes.

Really?!?! Come on man DeSean Jackson is one of the most explosive WRs in the league i mean sure he doesn't have the height for red zone but he has killer speed and if he finds some space he will take it home. He sure deserves the money specially after bust like Pinkston or Freddy Mitchell

Seattle signs Nate Burleson to $49 million offer | StarTribune.com

Just sayin'.

The man opens a ton of stuff up for the other guys on our team, and he brings big play ability. I'd be okay with signing him to a large deal.

One hit or miss season and he wants top WR money? Not the best of ideas. Now he is a very good player and a threat every time, but there are games where he would completely disappear.
