Cowboys QB Tony Romo Claims He Still Has Confidence In WR Roy Williams

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo said he and wide receiver Roy Williams will be back on the practice field earlier than normal this off-season to get better in 2010. Romo said too much emphasis was put on Williams' statistics and not the little things he did to help the Cowboys win games but Jerry Jones did not give up all that he did to get Williams for his blocking ability. While Williams said he felt like he lost the confidence of Romo and assistant head coach Jason Garrett, the quarterback said he remains confident in the wide receiver. "Honestly you're not going to be on the field if I don't feel comfortable in that regard as a guy playing a skill position," Romo said. "You have to have a rapport with the guys around you. I feel very comfortable with Roy, Miles, Jason. The same reason you're comfortable with whatever running back that's in the game. We're not going in saying, 'Well, I hope.' You can't. We'll continue to get better as we go along."
