Ravens OT Michael Oher Not Interested In Moving To Left Tackle

Ravens OT Michael Oher is not interested in moving to left tackle next season. "We have a left tackle in Jared Gaither. He's a better player than I am, a better athlete," Oher said. "It would be better if I was the right tackle and he's the left tackle. I think we're a better offensive line when we're like that." The Mississippi product started all 18 games, including five at left tackle when Gaither was out. Oher finished second in the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year voting and is a nominee for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year, which fans vote on. “Next year I want to play at a higher level,” Oher said. “I can always get a lot better and I’m going to say that to my last day.”

You hate humble pro's?

They are a breath of fresh air to me.

agreed. humility is a virtue.

Don't move him this year. Maybe a few years down the road.

I don't think it's humbleness. I just don't think he wants the responsbility that comes with the weak side? Whats this all about though. Have they actually asked him to play left tackle? if not than wtf is the point of this article? Typically offensive line position changes are done behind doors and most of the time the players are okay with moving along the line as long as they remain starters.

I really like every aspect of Michael Oher, and we drafted him to be our right tackle so barring any unforeseen circumstances that is where he'll stay... and oh how he'll beast!

He's a better player then Gaither, Its tough because Gaither is a RFA who they are trying to get extending, if you move him you piss him and his agent off plus you cant pay a right tackle like a left tackle. Either way im pretty happy with the O-Line, they are just gonna continue to get better.
