| 49ers To Start WR Isaac Bruce Vs The Rams | | |
A 49ers spokesman just said Isaac Bruce would indeed start today’s season-finale against the Rams but there is no word on how long he will play. Head coach Mike Singletary had indicated earlier in the week that Bruce, who is leaning towards retirement after this season, might be restricted to a ceremonial role such as taking part in the pre-game coin flip. Instead, the 16-year veteran will start for the 201st and perhaps final time in his career, in the city where he had his finest seasons.
