Raiders QB Bruce Gradkowski Wants To Return Next Year

Bruce Gradkowski's hopes of his injured knees healing in time for him to return under center for the season finale were dashed. And yet, the impending free agent has other hopes - namely, returning to the Raiders next season to compete for the starting quarterback job. "Yeah I want to be a Raider," Gradkowski told reporters Thursday morning. "I know we'll make it happen and things will work out the way they should. All I can focus on is the games that I put on film, the progress that we showed and knowing that going into this offseason we can do that much better and going into next season it's going to be a good year."

Good. He shows a lot of promise. Look out for Oakland in the next couple years. They have an above-average defense which includes a top CB and D-Line, a well-oriented RBBC, an up-and-coming tight end, the best punter in the league and the kicker with the best leg, and now it looks like they have a quarterback. All they need are some receivers. And a new owner. And coach.
