After watching the film, Vikings coach Brad Childress knows that running back Adrian Peterson was grabbed by his face mask before he committed a critical fumble in overtime at Chicago. Peterson's fumble put the Bears in position to score on the next play and win the game. Replays showed that Chicago's Zackary Bowman held on to Peterson's face mask with his left hand, turning his head, before Hunter Hillenmeyer poked the ball out of Peterson's arm. The play drew no penalty. If officials had thrown a flag for the face mask, it would have nullified the fumble. "I thought his face mask got grabbed as he put the football on the ground ... but still, in all, he's got to keep that thing in our possession," Childress said Tuesday.

The Vikes right tackle held the fuck out of #97 for the Bears on the game tying TD and it went uncalled - I'd say one hand washes the other on this one. Suck it Favre.

Another display of how the Vikings will rue the day they gave this goof an extension. No putting blame on his team for even being in OT against a weak opponent & all their failings but instead blaming the refs.

Nothing like ferreting out the facts, Inspector Clouseau...

Good the Vikes found a reason for loosing. I wonder what's the excuse for the 30 points the Bears put on the scoreboard before....
