| Panthers Place DT Tank Tyler On IR, Sign DT Derek Landri | | | The Panthers' injury woes at defensive tackle, which started when Maake Kemoeatu was lost for the season during the first practice of training camp, continued Friday as the team announced that Tank Tyler, acquired earlier this season in a trade from Kansas City, would join Kemoeatu and Louis Leonard on the injured reserve list. The Panthers replaced Tyler on the roster with Derek Landri, whom they claimed off waivers from Jacksonville. Landri (6-2, 290) was a 2007 fifth-round pick who recorded 34 tackles and two sacks before being released by the Jaguars this week. Source: Charlotte Observer | | |
