The Bengals worked Thanksgiving but running back Cedric Benson didn't and missing the first two days of practice is usually not a good sign for a game day activation. The club has said it wants to go slow with Benson's sore hip muscle because it has the potential to be nagging given the location of the injury and he hasn't practiced or played for the past 11 days. Head coach Marvin Lewis said Wednesday that even if Benson does play backup running back Bernard Scott is going to continue to get considerable playing time, and they could be more comfortable with Larry Johnson now that he's had two weeks of practice.
