Jets [Jets] Jets FS Kerry Rhodes Stunned, Embarrassed By Benching
Kerry Rhodes said he was stunned, embarrassed and humbled by his demotion. Asked if he expects to be back next season, Rhodes said, "I don't know. I didn't expect to be in this situation, so I don't know." Asked if he wants to return, he replied, "I'm not going to answer that right now." For the most part, Rhodes shrugged off the demotion, saying he feels "like a little kid in timeout." He didn't complain, but he also didn't dispute the notion that Ryan made him a scapegoat to send a message to the rest of his free-falling team. "I'm a guy that's looked upon to do a lot of things for this team, and I'm a guy who makes a little money as well," said Rhodes, who took issue with the term "benched."
