Two Lions players were fined for their actions on the field in last week's 27-10 loss at Minnesota. Linebacker Julian Peterson was fined $7,500 for a hit on Vikings backup quarterback Tarvaris Jackson late in the fourth quarter Sunday, Peterson was flagged for roughing the passer on the play and the fine was issued because he "unnecessarily struck the quarterback in the head area." Tight end Brandon Pettigrew was fined $5,000 for a late hit on Chad Greenway on a Matthew Stafford scramble at the end of the first quarter, Pettigrew drew a personal-foul penalty for unnecessary roughness on the play.
