Browns [Browns] Browns Owner Won't Comment On Mike Holmgren Rumors

If Browns owner Randy Lerner met with Mike Holmgren on Tuesday, he is not willing to discuss it. Jim Brown, speaking at a luncheon benefitting Our Lady of the Wayside, told the audience: "At this moment, right now Randy Lerner is meeting with one of the great football minds in this country," Brown said in remarks prior to and during the luncheon. "And if things work out, that person will come in to run the football side of the Browns." Brown did not identify who Lerner met with, but implied it was Holmgren, the former coach of the Packers and Seahawkswho in 17 years coaching had only three losing seasons. "I have no comment on any matter related to the search to strengthen the Browns' management," Lerner wrote in an e-mail response.
