Eric Mangini Remorseful After Browns WR Joshua Cribbs' Injury

Following Browns WR Joshua Cribbs' scary last-second injury in Monday night's 16-0 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Browns coach Eric Mangini said he wishes he would have handled the game's final play differently. "In retrospect, I would probably do it differently if I had to do it again," Mangini said Tuesday. "You don't want anybody to get hurt on any play." Cribbs spent several hours at the Cleveland Clinic undergoing tests after being flattened by Ravens DE Dwan Edwards on the last, meaningless play. Mangini said Cribbs didn't sustain a concussion and remained optimistic one of the NFL's most dangerous return specialists will play Sunday at Detroit.

I disagree, calling the Stanford band play down by 16 is a despicable attempt by Mangini to try and keep a shutout off his resume - he put every player on the field in jeopardy with that ridiculous selfish call and it's little irony that the best player on his team is the one that paid the price for his poor sportsmanship. Shame on you, Eric Mangini.
