Bengals RB Larry Johnson Might Play Vs Raiders

With former Chiefs running back Larry Johnson sitting next to him in a Paul Brown Stadium news conference Tuesday, head coach Marvin Lewis didn’t rule out using the newest Bengal this Sunday in Oakland if Cedric Benson can’t play. Benson’s first game for the Bengals came the same week he signed last season and he had missed all of training camp. “This might be a little easier situation because Ced had been sitting at home for two months and Larry has been home for only two weeks,” Lewis said. “This will be a little easier transition. I’m not going to say it can’t happen, I’m not going to say it will happen, but stay tuned. He’d like to play, I know that.” Johnson, who was suspended for a week by the Chiefs before they cut him last week, said it is a chance "to right some of my wrongs."

4th on the depth chart but might play this week? No way he's 4th on the depth chart. I still don't think he has much left in the tank based on what I saw this year. He definitely has no heart.

That's what I was just thinking. Maybe this reporter is just stirring the pot like most reporters love doing.

he had no heart to play in Kansas City, no one would block for him their either.

he's in Cincy now, different place, different atmosphere (sp)

this would be a way to test that as well no matter what spot in the depth chart he is on

This guy is all about himself, always has been, always will be. Larry will only do what Larry wants to do. Sure the line wasn't very good but neither was his effort.

Raiders, Browns and Lions the next 3 for 7-2 Cincy. Jackpot, Larry. You show'em what they've been missin'.

I have never wanted any player to get hurt, but this guy is close..

The only time he has been good, is when he had not one, but TWO HALL OF FAME O-linemen blocking for him... (Willie Rolf & Will Shields) In their prime!
