| Redskins RB Clinton Portis Won't Rush Back From Concussion | | | Redskins running back Clinton Portis suffered the concussion at Atlanta on Nov. 8 and it is not known yet if he will return Sunday at Dallas. Based on what happened to Philadelphia’s Brian Westbrook after he sat out just two games with a concussion and then returned, it might be wise for him to rest. Portis called it a “major situation” according to the Twitter account of the Washington Post’s Dan Steinberg, and said he expects to be restored as the starter when he’s healthy. “If Ladell (Betts) is gonna help us win, I'm all for it, but as far as me losing my starting position, I doubt that,’’ Portis said. “As long as Ladell runs well, there's no need for me to rush back. But as soon as I get back, I would love to contribute.” Source: NationalFootballPost.com | | |
