A sweeping plan to remake San Francisco's southeastern waterfront into residential neighborhoods surrounding a green technology hub and a proposed new 49ers stadium took a big step closer to becoming a reality on Thursday when a detailed environmental review of the project was released. The completed review paves the way for the city and developer Lennar Urban to seek final approvals from local, state and federal agencies on their joint redevelopment plan for the Hunters Point shipyard and nearby Candlestick Point.

The plans for the new stadium in Santa Clara are approved, this is the one close to where the stadium is now, San Francisco is trying to keep them closer to home. The 49ers headquarters has been in Santa Clara since 1988, I don't know how many people know that.
