| Packers LB's Aaron Kampman, Brady Poppinga Doubtful For Sunday | | | Packers inebacker Brady Poppinga has "unusual swelling" in his injured leg, leaving his status unclear for Sunday's game against Dallas. "His range of motion and everything is fine," coach Mike McCarthy said of Poppinga, whose quadriceps apparently flared up on Tuesday. "So, we're just being safe with him. He will see Dr. (Patrick) McKenzie again in the morning, and his practice participation will be determined then. I really don't know if he's going to be able to go or not." That's especially significant because starting left outside linebacker Aaron Kampman's availability also is in doubt because of a concussion, leaving rookie Brad Jones to take the majority of reps with the starters in practice. McCarthy seemed to indicate there's a strong chance Kampman won't be ready to play this week. "He's further away than you might think," McCarthy said. "We're always going to err on the high side with our players. I think we've done that in Ted (Thompson)'s time here and my time here. Until he completes the different tests, there's a point where you want to get back on the practice field. He hasn't worked out in the weight room yet, so that tells you where he is."
