Chaz Schilens is keeping his fingers crossed that he’ll be able to face the Chiefs Sunday at the Coliseum. Schilens’ return from a broken fifth metatarsal on his left foot was so anticipated the Raiders actually put out a press the week heading into the Jets game, only to be sidelined against because of foot soreness. “It’s not 100 percent so I’d like it to be so I’ve just got to work through it,” Schilens said. Schilens absence was noted by Al Davis and has been pointed to by Cable as a big reason JaMarcus Russell and the passing game has struggled to find a rhythm with the wide receivers.

I couldn't help but laugh when I read this headline. "Hey, stop picking on Russell. It's that receiver's fault. He's injured. That's why Russell sucks."

I had no idea that a guy who has a total of 15 catches in the NFL had that much impact on a quarterbacks success. The title of this article is misleading.

very misleading. It's still ridiculous to suggest that his absence explains Russell's poor play or inability to find a rhythm.

No, it's actually Randy Moss's fault. If he'd a staid at Oakland, Russel would have been a star. Look at what Moss has did for that Brady guy.
