Buccaneers [Buccaneers] Lee Roy Selmon Inducted Into Buccaneers Ring Of Fame

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers honored their heritage at halftime of their game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The Bucs unveiled their Ring of Honor with Hall-of-Fame defensive end Lee Roy Selmon being the first inductee. The Buccaneers also honored the 1979 NFC Central Division championship team, and wore their 1976 uniforms. "I promised my family I wasn't going to cry," said Selmon. "Just seeing those players and just hugging them, it just brings back so many fond memories, and I know that is what this ring is about. It's not about me; it's about us as a team and the great privilege I had to be a member of that Buccaneer team and other Tampa Bay Buccaneer teams throughout my career. It's those folks that I remember the most and I am just humbled and overwhelmed by all this happening today."

Mr. Selmon is an asset to the Tampa Bay area. He does a lot of good things for a lot of people in need. He should be the first inducted.
